Birds Dress On The Brink
Birds Dress On The Brink
Description
Orla Langan and Raymond Farrelly have joined forces for a captivating collaboration, introducing a collection that seamlessly blends sustainability, bird conservation, and collegiate-inspired fashion infused with a '90s hip-hop vibe. This unique partnership showcases Raymond's intricate bird illustrations featuring the Puffin, Barn Owl, and Curlew, shedding light on the critical issue of bird loss in Ireland through the 'Traffic light' system. This metric is used by BirdWatch Ireland to denote the conservation status of each of Ireland’s birds. Sadly, according to the charity Birdwatch Ireland, many Irish birds are ‘red-listed’; this means they are in danger of extinction as breeding birds in Ireland. By incorporating design elements reminiscent of the '90s era, such as badges and text, Orla's urban palette harmoniously intertwines with the traffic light colours - red, amber, and green. The collection successfully marries the essence of both brands. More to come from this collection shortly.
